MINKPINK

“Embracing individuality, MINKPINK strikes a harmonious balance between eclectic, cool and fashion forward design that continues to transverse the globe, with style-conscious, ready-to-wear pieces that can be mix and matched to your hearts content”. We couldn’t agree more and the pieces Sarah has chosen this season are not only sitting pretty in WSd HQ and bringing some aussie vibes to Hitchin, but make an ideal interchangeable capsule collection.

Described by Harper’s Bazaar as a ‘nifty hybrid’ the shirtdress is a multifunctional addition to your wardrobe. The Minkpink Backyard Bliss Tunic Shirt (£55) is in a vibrant floral print and will work with slides by day and heels by night. The button up cuff detailing and sharp collar add smart detailing while the floaty shape softens the look.

The vibrant Tangerine Dream Midi dress (£58) is one of those dresses that will see you through many a summer event. Side splits give the straight skirt some fluidity and the knot feature creates an ultra feminine neckline. If you’ve got limited suitcase space then this beauty can be dressed down for city exploring and up for bar exploring…living up to the Aussie brand’s aim to ‘make it easy to find something for every occasion, day or night’.  Continuing the summer pastel floral story, the Backyard Bliss shorts (£38) do the hard work while you kick back on the beach.

The Wild Hearts Bell Sleeve Top (Was £45 now £35) is pulling at our boho heartstrings. Made from delicate linen, the cropped blouse features deep copper coloured embroidery and voluminous bell sleeves. The elasticated crop works perfectly with a pair of high waisted denim shorts to create chilled holiday vibes.

The Backyard bliss dress (£65) achieves a ying, yang balance between floaty and structured. Tapping into the 70s trend, the lace up front adds a sultry edge to the look. Pair with the Hudson Sherbert Silver shoes (£80) and the Becksöndergaard Sennan bag (£85).

The MINKPINK maxi dresses achieve the brand’s ‘vibrant approach to a variety of silhouettes and styles’. The By the River Floral Maxi (£63) has sultry side splits and an intricate lace up back, while the Polyanna wrap maxi (£64) has a flattering tapering waist and perfectly cut plunging neckline.

For Ibiza nights, reach for the Urban Memories body-con dress (£52) for a streamlined silhouette. The exotic orange midi dress features cool cutouts at the waist and a flattering overlay top.

These are just a few picks from an array of fun and stylish MINKPINK treasures, so pop in store to try! We’ll be open tomorrow and Bank Holiday Monday…

The Beach Edit

A holiday on the horizon is the pinnacle of excitement. Whether it’s the obligatory sun cream or a cute new playsuit, each holiday purchase carries with it impending child like thrill for the adventure ahead.

The epitome of all holiday prep is the bikini (including the rather painful beauticians appointment it also entails…!). Vero Moda strikes again and this season the Danish brand has dropped two fail safe bikinis. The Ethnic bikini features a longer line top (£18) and flattering Tanga briefs (£14) with adjustable tie sides. Within the print of the Ethnic beauty are hints of the monochrome patterned Marrow triangle bra (£14) and briefs (£12) meaning they make the perfect mix and match quod.

The Vero Moda Lina bag has Narnia like capabilities, allowing you to throw in all of your beach essentials (and then some) while the bag itself remains conveniently compact. Available in three fab prints, this bag is a must have holiday addition that will fold away perfectly into your suitcase. For a luxe edition, the Becksöndergaard Audits Mansion Beach bag is sumptuously soft and in a gorgeous muted zebra print (£49).

The Marrow monochrome print scarf (£12) is an ideal item to pop in your beach bag to use however you please- a sarong, an evening cover up, a sun bed throw, a little extra warmth on the plane…the possibilities are endless and you’ll be so glad you packed it.

A sun light glow already emanates from the curves of the From St Xavier cuffs, so whether you go silver or gold, you’ll achieve boho beach chic with one of these beauties.

If you’re heading into the city for some sightseeing, channel Millie Mackintosh with a little bare leg and boot action.  The Somedays Lovin’ Sanikata playsuit (£70) together with the Hudson Azi boots (£135) is the perfect outfit combo for city exploring. Pair this duo with the Vero Moda Love sunglasses (£14) and From St Xavier Maple clutch (£72).

The Vero Moda Kaftan (£18) is the perfect poolside accessory and looks fab with the Sol Sana Mandy Slide (£65). Available in black or cream with multi-colour embroidery detail, this wonder isn’t limited to the beach- pair with Vero Moda denim skinnies (£35) and the Sol Sana Lawrence sandal (£85).

It’s no surprise that iconic Australian brand MINKPINK has got the summer vibe nailed. The Great White beach dress (£65) features bright neon straps, an uneven hem and oh so on trend pom pom trim! Wear over a bikini for an easy beach to bar look. For a fun summer look, reach for the Gypsianna pom pom shorts featuring the same fab pom pom detailing as the Great White.  Simply team with a vest top and the Sol Sana Anna slide (£70).

Whether you’ve got something booked or you’re just banking on some good old British sunshine, then pop in store to build up your summer staples.

Clutch Control

The clutch bag is a dream accessory that has the power to totally transform an outfit. WSd has a covetable selection of bags in store, from pieces with all out embellishment to those with playful pops of colour. A clutch allows you to tap into a trend with ease so whether you go statement or classic, we have a style for every occasion.

New season Becksöndergaard wallets are a delectable mixture of textures and prints.  The black and white colour palette ensures a selection of timeless pieces that will take you from season to season. The fold over Hisma clutch (£85) features beautiful lightweight raffia, which is toughened up with contrasting leather and tassel detailing.

A glitzy bag is a quintessential evening accessory but St Xavier has added a totally new dimension to the category. The Australian jewellery label has created a range of truly stunning clutches with beautifully embroidered beading (£75-£82).

The From St Xavier pillow clutch (£70) with floral embossing has been handmade in the Himalayas from brass that has been delicately engraved. It features an ornate clasp fastening and optional shoulder chain. The Magna clutch (£70) is equally as beautifully and both beauties are perfect for just about any occasion but will definitely achieve clutch kudos at a summer festival.
Clutches are embracing tech and are well and truly equipped for your iPhone 6…enter the Fab. by Fabienne wallet (£99). The dependable leather beauty is also the definition of transitional- keep it in your bag by day and whip it out for those nights where all you need is fizz funds and your best lipstick.

BSG has totally got the summer vibe going on. The Aqueela (£45) clutches are crafted from coloured paper straws, which create truly stunning and intricate patterns. An optional chain strap means a bag won’t get in the way of you and the dance floor.

The BSG Almond clutch (£35) and Canyon tote bag (£45) have officially got us dreaming of St Tropez (photo). Ok so its not quite a clutch but the BSG Violetta (£59) is too cute and fab not to include. Perfect for festivals or a summer day trip, this ‘mandarin red’ beauty is sumptuously soft and just about fits every girl’s essentials.

We think you’ll agree our clutch bag collection is exhibition worthy, so pop in store to get your aesthetic fill.
