The topic of Christmas partying bubbled to
the horizon some time ago at WSd HQ. All our fabulous Sarah was willing to give
away was that we would need to wrap up warm and ditch the heels for the WSd
Crimbo celebration. Well we were all flummoxed and quite frankly panicked at
the shoe situation...
All was finally revealed and Sarah’s plans topped every
Christmas party going…Club Night at Somerset House!! Clubbing AND Skating! Our
boss is truly the best of them all.
Minus two angels (boo to exams and sickness)
it was a mad dash from a day at WSd HQ straight to the station for a little
after-dark London revelry.
The party started on the train, obviously.
Naturally Sarah whipped a bottle of fizz
out of her Becksöndergaard Nagai Backpack (£169). Oh and Nikki’s Matt and Nat Triplets Wallet (£65) worn with its long strap proved to be the perfect
skating accessory, with enough room for gloves, spare socks and party rings for
the train!
With an abundance of fur, red lip, bubbles
and biccies we certainly showed commuters the WSd way.
Our first stop was Searcy’s Brasserie at St
Pancras. With Christmas songs and fluttering snow filling the station air, the
vibe was most definitely festive.
Given this, we gravitated towards the
Christmas menu and we were certainly not disappointed by the divine food. Think
deluxe roast with XL Brussels and you’re there. With fruity crumble and a
chocolate extravaganza ending the meal to perfection, we were all grateful for
our outfit choices of oversized jumpers!

To the ice…the recognisable façade of Somerset House is something quite spectacular, obviously the courtyard ice rink is the most beautiful in London. By night it’s even more impressive,
illuminated by lights, music and a party atmosphere.
With our skates on we were ready to glide
onto the ice and perfect our pirouettes…. Err well maybe with a little bambi warm
up first!
From House to Hip Hop and a bit of Whitney
in-between, we boogied (with caution!!) the night away.

Club Night at
Somerset House is a fab way to celebrate the festive season with your gals
or family. We left the ice in one piece and hand in hand. You can’t ask for
more than that!
Celebrations continued on Friday night at
the WSd Let’s Shop and Get Party Ready evening.
With the beautiful voice of Cece McClean
filling the shop, the perfect atmosphere was created for an evening of festive
shopping and celebration of Independent ladies.
