Lunchin' n Loungin'

Whether you’re the chief turkey baster or an honorary guest, its important to feel fab on Christmas day. It’s most certainly not too late to escape the stress of the season and seek sanctuary in WSd to find the perfect festive outfit. Here’s our pick of what we think you’ll love…

Give the star at the top of the tree some serious competition with the Mink Pink Bright foil knit midi dress (£68). Go bare for Christmas Eve cocktails or over a super soft polo neck for Christmas day coziness.
How beautiful is the Somedays Lovin Zed dress? (£84) With stunning embroidery and a dip back hem, this beauty is ideal for an evening soiree. Equally the whimsical flowing satin is made for laid back present opening and family fun.

Style the Somedays Lovin Isle of Sky dress a la Sarah with a polo neck, boots and your fave opaques! This beauty will look fab with a pair of Moda in Pelle Leonor leather boots (£120)- the perfect outfit for leisurely fizz sipping.

With things feeling so mild of late there isn’t much need for a winter coat. Layering is the buzzword of the unexpectedly warm season so reach for the English Girl Jungle Rock tuxedo (£85).  Sarah paired hers with Vero Moda 7s in dark grey (£35), the Uncivilised Celeste body (£35) and finished things off to perfection with her go-to Moda in Pelle Lanzi Leather shoe boots (Were £129 Now £103.20).

It wouldn’t be Christmas without regal ruby red tones. Add some drama to a night of cocktails with the Adriana Midi (£95). For ultra glam the Adriana Maxi is the showstopper of party pieces (£130). The Christmas pud won’t be the only thing smokin’ this season…

On Christmas day it can be hard to strike a balance between festive glam and a quality street induced film marathon. Well the Kelsey midi is the answer to the main dilemma of the big day. The ultra sexy gold open-ended zip looks incredible with the Moda in Pelle Deadly Mocc Snake heels (Were £66 Now £52.80). Once all the Instagram snaps are done, this glam yet comfortable winner will work with your new slippers…heaven. We’ve got a fab selection of Honor Gold in store for every festive desire.

The doors of WSd won’t be closing until we hear Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve, so its not too late to make a wish list to hand over to the last minute shoppers in your life. Simply tell us what you’re coveting in store, we’ll take a photo of it and pop the snap into an envelope stamped with a special wish list message. All you have to do is give it to anyone wishing to buy you a festive treat!

Merry Christmas beauties!

The Christmas Edition

The topic of Christmas partying bubbled to the horizon some time ago at WSd HQ. All our fabulous Sarah was willing to give away was that we would need to wrap up warm and ditch the heels for the WSd Crimbo celebration. Well we were all flummoxed and quite frankly panicked at the shoe situation...

All was finally revealed and Sarah’s plans topped every Christmas party going…Club Night at Somerset House!! Clubbing AND Skating! Our boss is truly the best of them all.

Minus two angels (boo to exams and sickness) it was a mad dash from a day at WSd HQ straight to the station for a little after-dark London revelry.

The party started on the train, obviously.

Naturally Sarah whipped a bottle of fizz out of her Becksöndergaard Nagai Backpack (£169). Oh and Nikki’s Matt and Nat Triplets Wallet (£65) worn with its long strap proved to be the perfect skating accessory, with enough room for gloves, spare socks and party rings for the train!

With an abundance of fur, red lip, bubbles and biccies we certainly showed commuters the WSd way.

Our first stop was Searcy’s Brasserie at St Pancras. With Christmas songs and fluttering snow filling the station air, the vibe was most definitely festive.

Given this, we gravitated towards the Christmas menu and we were certainly not disappointed by the divine food. Think deluxe roast with XL Brussels and you’re there. With fruity crumble and a chocolate extravaganza ending the meal to perfection, we were all grateful for our outfit choices of oversized jumpers!

To the ice…the recognisable façade of Somerset House is something quite spectacular, obviously the courtyard ice rink is the most beautiful in London. By night it’s even more impressive, illuminated by lights, music and a party atmosphere.

With our skates on we were ready to glide onto the ice and perfect our pirouettes…. Err well maybe with a little bambi warm up first!

From House to Hip Hop and a bit of Whitney in-between, we boogied (with caution!!) the night away.

Club Night at Somerset House is a fab way to celebrate the festive season with your gals or family. We left the ice in one piece and hand in hand. You can’t ask for more than that!

Celebrations continued on Friday night at the WSd Let’s Shop and Get Party Ready evening.

With the beautiful voice of Cece McClean filling the shop, the perfect atmosphere was created for an evening of festive shopping and celebration of Independent ladies.

The gorgeous Stacey

Ashton Emporium had the whole store glistening with amazing homeware and gifts. With everything from gorgeous sparkling baubles, and elegant glass candlesticks to the cutest teddy bear, Sallie displayed a treasure trove of wonderful pieces.
